The island is rocky, and sloped with sparse vegation and few trees. Stone fences are everywhere and you feel the burning sun so best stay close to the many beaches.
It was fun to explore Old Town night or day, to wander the narrow streets, browse in so many shops and dine late at night. cruise ships bring in many tourists and like all ships are adorned with lights at night. We even saw a yacht with it's own helicopter.
Golden sand beaches are crowed with sun umbrellas you rent for 9 euros and sunseekers who sport european bikinis, go topless and take their sunbathing seriously. The sea is salty and the breezes so welcome. You never tire of gazing at the whitewashed buildings and the Agean sea.
