Luca was so excited to see family and friends again after a year in Canada. We met our Italian hosts Chiara and Massi the bride and groom, then Luisa (Luca's mom) and her husband Antonio.

By friday September 5 all guests (65) had arrived, including Giovanni, Luca's father. After several days of beach time, touring old town and dining, the wedding party gathered at the hall in old town for the civil ceremony. With iconic windmills in the background, the bride and groom danced after a champagne toast to greek music and then enjoy more champagne and ouzo at lunch.
That evening all guests dine poolside dinner with calamari stuffed with feta, small fish and one delicious big fish. The italian love song "Sally" is played and I dance to my introduction to the song.
At sunset on Saturday we sit oceanside in our white chairs all dressed in white to witness the wedding.

Everyone soon adjourns to "Lamed", a resturant across the road to feast: with wonderful lamb shank. The evening lasts to midnight. Patrick "that Canadian kid" catches the garter. The younger guests go to the disco club until 6am. A truly wonderful wedding experience.
