Castle Thun

Our visit to Castle Thun at Vigo di Thun, Trentino in Northern Italy, at the suggestion of brother-in-law Rudi. His great grandmother's former residence.
The castle is both a fortress and was a noble residence of the Thun family, from the middle ages to the 20th century. On view is original furniture, an invaluable art collection and extensive gardens, surrounded by apple orchards. Also a chapel, weapons of war and hunting, 19 century sitting rooms, hall of ancestors, Swiss pine panelling, and the hall of guards.
